Becoming a member of TCF is an exciting journey that requires commitment and a passion for K9 companionship. To qualify, applicants must physically reside in Tanzania and be the owner of a purebred dog with a pedigree certificate issued by a recognized organization. Dogs from East African countries are eligible for direct registration, provided their certificate bears the applicant’s name, whereas owners of dogs from outside East Africa must provide export pedigree certificates for registration.

For travelers or diplomats residing in Tanzania with membership from their country of origin, double registration is not permitted; however, they are allowed for them to register for membership of the club and to participate in K9 affairs within TCF. Applicants must attach a copy of their dog’s certificate if the dog is not already listed in the TCF registry.

All approved applicants will receive Associate Membership for three years, granting access to TCF activities but excluding voting rights in the AGM. After three years, they will be granted full membership with voting privileges. Applicants will be notified of their application status and informed of the membership fee required for final registration. Any applicant under the age of 18 years shall be granted Junior membership

Please not that TCF may require Physical examination for your dogs by appointed vet before approval of your application.

Are you the proud owner of a litter of puppies born in Tanzania? If the puppies were born to a TCF-registered dam that was mated with a TCF-registered sire of the same breed, you can register them using this application. The registration must be completed by the owner of the dam (mother of the puppies).

Abbreviations:  D = Dog (Male) / Sire = Father B = Bitch (Female) / Dam = Mother

Before registering individual puppies, you must first register the litter. Registration options vary depending on whether you own the sire (father), the dam (mother), or both dogs.

Naming Guidelines for Registration:

  1. Anyone applying for registration is bound by TCF Rules and Regulations in all canine matters.
  2. A dog’s name is selected by the person first registering the dog.
  3. A dog’s name must contain more than one word and must not exceed 24 letters, including spaces, hyphens, full stops, or apostrophes.
  4. The following names are not acceptable for registration:
    • Names of notable persons
    • Numbers in figures or words if indicating sequence
    • A single letter as a word at the beginning of a name
    • The registrant’s surname
    • Canine-related terms (e.g., dog, bitch, champion, Crufts, kennel, breed names, or breed abbreviations)
    • Proper or geographical names that form part of a breed’s name (e.g., “German” or “Germany” for German Shepherds)
    • Words from a dog’s pedigree that may be affixes held by another person

When naming a litter, the same word may not be used for more than two puppies, unless permission has been granted to use it as an Affix or it is used in conjunction with an already registered Affix.
