The establishment of Tanzania’s first nationwide K9 foundation is a landmark achievement for dog enthusiasts, turning a long held dream into reality. This milestone is the result of years of dedication, overcoming challenges, and striving to create a united community of responsible dog lovers.

For decades, Tanzanian dog owners have aspired to be part of a structured organization that promotes ethical breeding, responsible ownership, and canine welfare. While previous attempts faced obstacles, the foundation’s creation demanded steadfast determination, selflessness, and a collective vision for a better future for dogs and their owners.

Although it is impossible to name every individual who contributed, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who played a role in making this dream possible. In 2022, twelve founding members, led by Dismas Benny of Vom NattyCrest, laid the groundwork for an organization that continues to thrive. The invaluable contributions of Benjamin Masige, Bernard Matovu, Charles Mubelwa, Christopher Msale, Elias Kimati, Emmanuel Mwakyembe, Fundisha Mayombola, Hassan Mangapi, Simon Manyota, Kenneth Msechu, and Peter Musiba will always be remembered for their dedication to making this vision a reality.
